Campus Communicates With Community Three groups on the TOHS campus involved themselves with the various aspects of learning. Future Teachers of America was concerned with enabling students to more fully understand the teaching profession. Through the club mem- bers were able to experience teaching firsthand by being teachers for two days at Timber Dis- trict elementary schools. Members showed warmth towards others by holding a Valentineis Day Party for needy children. Three A's in academic courses qualified stu- dents for membership in California Scholastic Federation. Membership was by semester and a student could become a life member by belong- ing to CSF for four semesters, one of which must be in the senior year. Members were enti- tled to participate in the annual CSF field trip. Parent Student Teacher Advisory Board, PSTAB, discussed problems on campus includ- ing the closing of restrooms, the value of home- room and the role of the campus newspaper. These topics were discussed in an effort to increase communication on campus and with the community. California Scholastic Foundation, Future Teachers of AUICFICH 71
