AIASA The American Industrial Arts Stu- dent Association is a national or- ganization for students who are presently in, or who have complet- ed, industrial arts courses. AIASA provides leadership training, en- courages scholastic motivation, in- creases knowledge and helps to promote industrial arts in school, community, state and nation. JAG Jag (Jobs for Arizona Graduates) is a new program developed to identify, train and place seniors into jobs after graduation. With the help of a job specialist, the partici- pants in the program were given an opportunity to study the job market at both a school level and at the job site. The AIASA. Lettermens Club The Lettermens Club sold Tempe High wind- breakers, and after one of the Tempe High Bas- ketball games, they sponsored a dance that helped to pay for the let- ter jackets which includ- ed the athlete’s name and the Tempe High em- blem. 1 he Lettermens Club Top row (I to r): Tracy Ellis. NHS The National Honor Society was not a service organization. Their main function was to give recogni- tion to students who would receive a scholarship. Touchdown Club The Touchdown Club was designed to promote spirit in football and weight lift- ing. The club sponsored a dance which was one of the most popular of the year.
