CLASS OF 60 ln September of 1956 120 alarm clocks rang extra early and 120 gree X I f FRESHMEN were pulled out of bed to begtn their high school DA ZE The x x offrcers that year were Pres Terry Estes Vrce Pres Marcra Austin Sec ug Jimbo Pearson Treas Ann Thomason Reporter Jimmy Glenn Honor Councrl X 8 I Donna Meyer and John Moss Our Class Favorrtes were Marcia Austin and called money on the bram We began our campaign as door to door gales 7 X Jtmbo Pearson For some reason we were all affected with a strange drsease 2 X N men sellrng Fuller Brush Products Next on the agenda we entered our X masterprece 1D the Chr1stmas parade if As SOPHOMORES we were still going strong We selected Pres John Moss Vice Pres Marcia Austin Sec Leslie Dunn Treas Jack Dunn Honor N C52 ,J Councrl Myron Bernard and Aru1Thomason A repeat on the Class l-'avorrtes QQ X members for all the organlzatrons We really showed our talent by presenting XJ? TE? a Class Minstrel Our abxllty as salesmen proved so effective that we posed as YO Fuller Brushmen agatn We added a few more dollars to our increasing treasury by having a fair booth Later in the year we sponsored a dance recital To lead us through this trying year as JUNIORS we elected Jack Dunn Pres Darrell Wldick and Donna Meyer Vice Pres Myron Bemard Sec Bill -I Ousley Treas Marcia Ausun and Terry Estes Honor Council We did a tuple take on Class Favorites Marcia Austin Jimbo Pearson and Bill Xi Ousley We began our money making campaign with a bang Our fair .,, booth was a roarmg success wrth a profit of 9993 but the concessions at ball games more than made up for lt Again we sponsored the Dance Recrtal W surprlsed the Semors by not having left over hotdogs at the Jtmior Senior Banquet 6 You re right those walking libraries are SENIORS We finally made itl Our officers were Pres B111 Ousley Vlce Pres Donna Meyer Sec Myron Bernard Treas Jack Dunn Reporter Mickey O Bryan Honor Council John Moss Chairman Ann Thomason and Bobby Gower The first project we tackled as Seniors was a car wash We rounded out our bank by glvrng a Bar B Q supper before the homecoming game The last money making venture was our sale of movie passes Yes we recall all these fond memories with a tear ln our eye, but we will go our way with happy hearts knowing that you who come after us love S.
