Each student's role demands that he be versatile in many phases of school living. He may become the opinionated bull session member, the typical pal, the lonely individual, the prankster, or the sought after listener. He conveys happiness, dejection, earnestness, authority, individuality, determination, eagerness, doubt, frus- tration, and achievement. The student puts on the mask of learner and en- ters the magnetic phase of acquiring knowledge. He finds the barrage of classes becomes a detached routine. The student's mask is partly re- moved when he becomes absorbed in his social life. His interests direct him in certain streams of advertence. As each actor brings to his role his own personality, so each student brings to his school life his own ideas and aspirations. He is free to collect bits and pieces of life and to add them to his personality as he wishes, but he will always be himself. The individuals add diversity yet perpetuate traditions and innovations as their ideas and aspirations are united with those of other individuals. The student is molded and shaped into a field, but his uniqueness is still the core of his being. . ....,, fav
