September 4th was twin day, the caterpillar race and the human pyramid, which was just the beginning of our Homecoming activities leading up to the big game on September 8th. Various dress-up days were held throughout the week. Tuesday included class color day with Seniors wearing white, Juniors-purple, Sophomores-green, Freshmen- yellow, and Faculty-black. A slave auction was held. Wednesday's action included wiffle ball and inside-out and backwards day. Activities for Thursday included Hawaiian, hat and sunglasses day, and slave day. On Friday, students dressed in red and white and a pep rally was held which included the body pass. The Homecoming game had one of the most outstanding crowds Spencer High has ever had. Although the game was lost to Stratford, Rocket Spirit prevailed. 1. Court members-kim Crist, Tim Sautner, Jon Scharbarth. King Jeff Yefter. Mike Lipsey. Doug Foth. Shane Boe. Dennis Woodkey. and Steve Butts. 2. Emily Hoffman, Kiteena Larkin. Michelle Melander (replacing Geana Mellenthin), Kathy Sundell. Patti Krug, Renee Mellenthin, Queen Brenda Langreck. Karrie Boehnen. Linda Boock. 3 Brenda Langreck gives Coach Spanel's favorite duck huntin' speech 4. Mr Sautner appears as the mad scientist. 5. Brandy King and Paula Darge are extremely laidback. 6 Rex Anderson has Geana Mellenthin as a slave for one day. 7 Mr Spanel shows off his Senior varsity football players. 8.
