This year the Wrestling team had a successful season despite a few setbacks. Injuries to many of our varsity starters plagued this year's team. Also, Captain Greg Bridges could not wrestle until the second semester. Determination, and a lot of hard work helped them to end the season with a duel meet record of 8 wins and 5 losses. They exemplified the Pride, Sacrifice and Courage that they are so well noted tor. They never gave up! The Holiday and Class A, Section VI Sectional Wrestling Tournaments were both held at S.W.C.S. this year. Winners of the Holiday Tournament were Bob Moberg and Jeff Swan. In the Sectionals, Jeff also emerged a winner along with Greg Bridges. Greg shared the Most Outstanding Wrestler honors of the Sectional Meet with Mike Arnold of Pioneer. Jeff went on to win in the 122 weight class at the Inter-Sectionals with Greg placing second at 135. Jeff's victory in the Inter-Sectional Tournament earned him the honor to compete in the State Meet at Syracuse.

Varsity Basketball team slash records The 71-72 Varsity Basketball Team had a successful season of thirteen wins and six losses, and second place in the league with a league record of seven wins and three losses. The basketball team is already looking forward to next year in hopes of another winning season. This goal seems quite likely since four of the starting five are returning for another year. Near the end of the season the Trojans had their most out- standing victory. This was the win over Fredonia who was then un- defeated. This memorable game was played before a packed house.
