Mr. Mrs . Mrs Mrs Mrs Kenneth Lyssy, President Carol McDonald, First Vice-President Alma Coleman, Second Vice-President Gloria Edmundson, Secretary Ferol Todd, Treasurer Southwest Teachers' Association, affiliated with the Texas State Teachers' Association and the National Education Asso- ciation, has completed its sixth year serving the faculty and school district with information on all aspects ofteacher acti- vities, including legislation, speakers from different fields of education, literature, and oth er valuable aids necessary for good teaching. Mr. Kenneth Lyssy, Principal of the High School, has been President of our local association tor 1967-68. We have made progress in enlarging our membership and increasing interest in training courses, convention attendance, and participation in county association programs. Assists Schoal and Znmmunify Under the able leadership of Mrs. Palm, President of the Southwest Par- ent Teachers Association of Southwest schools, excellent programs were given and many projects completed. One of the many benefits which the high school and junior high has re- ceived is the addition of fans for class- rooms - a much needed supplement most of the school year. Mr. Cernosek, Superintendent, has supported and aided our PTA whenever possible, and Mrs. Palm presented him with a Life Membership and pin this year from the school.
