soujurtfA Like all Physics and Chemistry teach- ers, Mr. Leibenguth can usually be found in the laboratory, explaining a sciei-iihc law or theory to a student. Besides teach- ing science, it was from him that we learned the elementary principles of mathematics, when we were in junior high school. As a faithful supporter of our senior bake sales, Mr. Leibenguth consumed a great deal of the candy. Also, our sen- ior dances would not have been as gay without the lighting schemes which he supervised. The photography club, re- cently introduced to our school by Mr. Leibenguth, has proved itself to be an interesting and educational extra-cur- ricular activity. The senior chemistry class will never forget the enjoyable trips taken to the Franklin Institute under his guidance. It may well be said that he may be small in stature, but was always a big help to us. Although Miss Lesher teaches both h’story and health, she is more familiar ly known as the girls’ coach. She has made girls’ intramural basketball an in- teresting feature within the school, and has introduced hockey, which has also proved its worth. In our annual pageants, Mbs Lesher capably taught all of the dances to the students; thus helping to make the pre- sentations a big success. As chairman of the senior advisers, Miss Lesher has assisted us in the prep- aration of our card parties and dances, guiding us in order to make the affairs as jovial and profitable as possible. She has proved to be a friend in need, and her encouraging and helpful suggestions were no less than a boost to our class. Paqr Jou risen

mm m Qfb Uiam Gj. Qenszler Besides being teacher of history and civics, Mr. Genszler has spent a great deal of his time in advising the produc- tion of this yearbook. Under his guid- ance we were able to publish a book which will always be a reminder of all the help and assistance given by him. To our senior dances, Mr. Genszler added a touch of mirth, as master of ceremonies, and with his introduction of the Paul Jones , a novelty dance ar- rangement. The finances of our class were well taken care of with his assistance. Not only did he prove helpful in the method of keeping accounts, but in the growth of the class treasury, as well. His ser- vices certainly did prove an asset to our class, and we appreciate them. ‘Rachel 'Srown As language instructor, Miss Brown has many Academic students accus- tomed to saying Auf Wiedersehen” or Au Revoir,” instead of the usual Good- bye.” Besides teaching German, Latin, and French, she comp les and edits the annual Handy-Book”, which is of value to all students. As publicity agent for the school, Miss Brown sends into the local new spapers important information concerning the school, and has collected all the articles printed, into a large scrapbook. With her knowledge of cakes and bak- ed goods, she has made our bake sales an important feature at South Whitehall, each week impressing the seniors with the value of the sales, and seeing that they were conducted in the most profit- able manner possible. Our class will long remember her for her kind attitude towards us, and for all the help and assistance given. JV
