Squad defeated cclrroll for lone victory The Colonels under the direction of new head coach Gailord Bellamy had a disappointing season compiling an overall record of one Win, seven losses, and one tie. The Colonels lone win came over the Bishop Carroll Eagles, 27-19. The Colonels were sparked by the running of full- back Mike Carroll and the pass receiving of junior Gerry Morton. Larry Moore, Bob Ruth, and Danny Burr, seniors, were the elected tri- captains. Lettermen for the 1965 season included 15 seniors and Sjuniors. The '4Fightin Colonels placed senior lineman Rick Lill and senior back Mike Carroll on the all-city second team. Honorable mentions were received by Danny Burr and Gerry Morton. MIKE CARROLL caught a high pass off a screen during the North game. r i it S 1N A HALF-TIME chalk talk, head coach Cailord Bellamy readied the team to meet DURING A BREAK in the East contest, Rick Lill got a refreshing drink.
