John Allbright, Max Allen, Richard Fawley, Bill Newton, Richard Stafford, Bob Roberts, Max Seslar, Jack Thuma, Shir- ley Harper, Joy Hubble, Lelia Miller, Nancy Shoemaker, Elizabeth Spahr, Ruth Stingley and Ellyn Tal- bott. In our second year we lost Ellyn Talbott who retumed in our seventh year from Michigan. We gained Dick Brown, from Spring Valley: Jack Carter, from Beaver: Jerry Shane, from Cedarville: Jean Shinkle, from Xenia: and Beverly Crowl, from Dayton: who left in a few months but returned in our seventh year from Xenia. Shirley Harper and Lelia Miller both left in our third year and retumed in the seventh from Ross. We were joined that year by Nancy Sutton, from Charleston, West Virginia: Helen Slaughter, from Birming- ham, Alabama: andFred Knecht, from Maine: who retumed, after spending three years in the Orient, in Our S6Ili0r year from Califomia. Nancy Shoemaker left us in the third grade too, but retumed in the fourth from South Salon. Paul Baise from Cheaspeake, Ohio, joined us in the fourth grade. The fifth grade was honored by the arrival of Johnny Litteral from Fairbome. In the sixth grade David Knisley, from Springfield and Barbara Haines, from Spring Valley joined us. We welcomed Mary Margaret Poole, Donald Tidd. and Carl Hunter in our seventh year. Alvin Steiner and Jean Swaney, from Ross, and Kathryn Rice of New Carisle, Ohio, joined us in our eighth year. In our freshman year we were joined by Janice Hughey from Ross. Bob Stevenson, from Urbana and Bill Hart, from Ross joined us in our Sophomore year. In our big year as Seniors we were joined by Barbara Peterson from Xenia. Our Junior class play January Thaw was given October 5, 1952. At our Junior-Senior Banquet, which was held in the Cafeteria, April 9, 1952, we served the following menu: Tomato Cocktail Beefsteak - Mashed Potatoes Green Peas Perfection Salad - Relish Plate Rolls and Butter Coffee or Chocolate Chocolate Cake and Vanilla Ice Cream The remainder of the evening was enjoyed at the Hobart Arena, Troy, where Guy Lombardo and his Orchestra entertained. Our Senior Class Play is to be given May 15, 1953. X N f L 6145.9 Prophecy We are all quietly sitting in the New Jasper Church awaiting the forthcoming marriages of Elizabeth Spahr and Kenny and Nancy Sutton to Bob. We are all surprised to see that every member of our 53 graduating class is present. Ten years hasn't made much of a change in any of us. Here come the brides and the minister, of all people, Bob Stevenson, All dressed up in a tuxedo, Max Ses- lar, stunning best man. Looks like he has come a long way. Several of the members of the class have come a long way to be here for this event. Admiral Johnnie Litter- al brought his navy fleet all the way from China. Admiral Litteral's ship is the cleanest ship inthe navy, because his chief deck scrubber is Bob Roberts. Bob has lost a few pounds scrubbing decks with tooth brushes. Bill Newton also came with Admiral Litteral's ships. Bill has finally reached the rank of 'first Lieutenant after several unsuc- cessful attempts. Look who came in the door! We were afraid Jean Shinkle wasn't going to make it, because she caused a lot of excitement in New York recently with her famous bubble dance. Jeannie brought with her, Jerry Shane, her chief admirer. The ushers are escorting in the famous M, G. M, Hollywood actor, Richard Stafford, whose latest movie Be- vie has made his successful. They had to call the State Highway Patrol to keep the Bobby Soxers out of the church. Since the State Patrolmen all have chauffeurs, Ruth Stingley has an interesting job. Even the ushers are members of the class, John Allbright, Janice I-lughey's husband: Richard Fawley, a Cin- cinnati Red Pitcher: Dick Brown, manager of his fathers twenty-two storesg and Bill Hart, a Globe Trotter. Look who just walked in, Ellyn Talbott from Arizona, where she teaches school, Jean Swaney from Montana, owner of a horse ranch, Mrs. William A. Amold fBarbara Hainesj from New York, a secretary for a law firm, and Beverly Crowl, a modemistic dancer from Hollywood. Helen Slaughter a well known singer just returned from a command performance for Queen Elizabeth. Nancy Shoemaker, with.a stunning hair-do, arrived from Hollywood where her husband owns a barber shop. Paul Baise, Max Allen's manager, is passing out free tickets to the Madison Square Garden Fight where Max is appearing against Jack Carter. Fred Knecht, a deep sea diver, is seated next to Shirley Harper, who after whizzing through four years at Miami Jacobs College is with Dayton Power Light Company at Xenia, Ohio and Lelia Miller the Chief Telephone operator at the Bell Telephone Company. She is engaged to a handsome naval officer. In the second row are seated Barbara Peterson, assistant cashier at the Xenia National Bank, Carl Hunter, chief attraction at the Dayton Speedway, and Donald Tidd, who ownes and operates a 2, 000 acre farm, spends most of his time driving a pink Cadillac. The ushers just seated Mary Margaret Poole. head Matron of the insanity ward at the Columbus Hospital and her chief worry, David Knisley, whose hot rod got the best of him. Next to David is Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Brown fKathryn Ricej, who finally got herself a traveling salesman. Mrs. Ivan Saxton Uoy Hubbley is present, but has to leave early to prepare dinner for her 8 children. Jack Thuma after his long struggle to get through Denison University finally gave up and is now a factory laborer. Along with Jack is one of his fellow employees, Alvin Steiner. Last but not least, all eyes focus on Mrs. Faulkner, She is still teaching Spanish at Silvcrcreek but the school board has raised her salary to Sl. 000 a week. The beautiful double wedding has started so we will turn our full attention to the services. Maybe in another ten years someone else will be getting married and we can again get together. vm, -. ..x,.,,....,..
