WHENEVER you find it difficult to converse with a friend because of loud and vigorous sounds coming from either the auditorium or the basement practice room, you can rest assured Seneca's band sr Go, man, go. is practicing. Jam sessions, as the boys call them, are held during the first, second, third, and seventh periods every Tuesday and Friday. Constantly trying to improve, the band is al- ways coming up with something new and different. This year, the something new turned out to be Joe Wozniak and Gerald Arnst, two accordion players. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Kenneth Wells, Seneca's band takes a back seat to none. Seneca can well be proud of the boys who have contributed their time and effort to the band. ww We played at the prom. L..

S ENECA'S proiection staff is undoubtedly a very efficient group. In addition to their chief duty of running the movie projector, they are also responsible for the op- eration of the tape recorder and the port- able and slide projectors. The crew is also capable of repairing all the complicated equipment. Upon request of a teacher, it Works Too Flat Lux members of the crew will set up equipment for the purpose of running educational films. Another of their less-publicized duties is to record the visits of important guests of the school. Pohlman Color Guard THE i953-54 Color Guard was composed of Robert Wohlford, Ronald Lochocki and Ray- mond McArthur on the American Flag side, and Henry Pohlman, Harold Light and Frank Zam- borowski on the Seneca's School Colors' side, and the substitute was Robert Taylor. The Color Guard opened practically every assembly with a patriotic march down the cen- ter aisles while the students stood at attention. The flags were carried onto the stage where the bearers crossed in the middle. The American Flag was taken to the right side of the stage and the Seneca Flag to the left side. At Ronald Lochocki's signal, the students saluted the American Flag, and the country for which it stands. While Mr. Gilbert at the or- gan, Mr. Wells at the piano, and members of the band played the STAR SPANGLED BANNER, the students sang the words to this patriotic song. The members of the Color Guard, who were chosen by Mr. Boehmer on their previousyear's record with approval of their teachers, feel privi- leged to take part in this patriotic activity. 84 R.
