Having a completely different outcome from each other were freshmen tennis and badminton teams...winning only three out of twelve games, was girls' freshmen tennis team...trailing behind the girls was the boys' freshman tennis team, with only one win and eleven losses...outdoing the tennis players were the badminton teams...ending their season undefeated, IV won 7-O, varsity finished up with four wins and three losses...leading players, Roberts and Newman placed third in divisionals at Chandlermqualifying for state meet, but being stopped by Chandler, who came in first...voting for top player in the city, coaches named Jamie Roberts.
