The Making 0 a Yearbook Using unique effects on pictures together with bold and varied layouts was an initial plan which the 1969 SAWYER co-editors carried away from the yearbook seminar in Saratoga Springs last May. The conference was an intro- duction to the tasks and complicated proce- dures of developing a yearbook and an inspirational beginning to a full year's project. Throughout the summer and first few weeks of school, the editors searched for a fitting theme. Then the real work of presenting the SAWYER as a kaleidoscope began. Backed by indispensa- ble advice and instruction from Mrs. Bailey, the SAWYER chiefs capably directed the staffs efforts in cropping countless pictures, creating artistic lay-outs, and writing innumerable head- ings and captions.
