RUTH IRENE BOND, A. B., B. G. Longswamp Township High School, 1920 Keystone State Normal School, 1922 Susquehanna University, 1924 King's School of Oratory fsummerl, 1924 Miss Bond is our highly esteemed Eng- lish teacher. Her classes are always inter- esting, because she is always introducing something new. NYe should think she would get tired listening to book and poem reviews, but she doesn't seem to mind. She delights in coaching plays, and with her help plays have been a decided success in Sandy. It is with the deepest regret that.tl1e Senior Class must bid her farewell. English GEORGE WILLIAM HERROLD, B. S. Susquehanna Academy, 1922 Susquehanna University, 1925 Mr. Herrold hails from Port Trevorton. Pa. This is his first year with ns, and Sandy should be proud to have such a good math- ematician as he is. There is not a single Arithmetic or Algebra problem that he can- not do. He is never too busy to give a word of encouragement or to give a helping hand to those who are in need. Mr. Herrold seemed to be very bashful and shy at first, but he soon overcame it, and he is now as full of fun as the rest of us. Sandy is hop- ing to secure his services again next year. Mathematics VIRGINIA GOULD COOK, B. S. Leechburg High School, 1919 University of Pittsburgh, 1923 Miss Cook is a teacher we could not get along without. She is skilled in Biology and takes great delight in tearing animals and flowers apart to explain them to her pupils. Miss Cook is very jolly, and her sympathetic nature has made her many friends in Sandy High. She seems to have some attraction in Leechburg, and we are afraid this attraction may take her away from us. but we will look on the sunny side, and expect her back next year. Science
