Nlri llrewster, college business manager, looked after the affairs of the college from an- swering telephone calls from the Navy con- cerning dresser-drawers to solving a multi- plicity of problems relative to ration points. Miss XYilloughby bowed out with a leave of absence to take a position with the Army as a librarian and Bliss Bost stepped in to be keeper of the flame' for her. Dr. Hess held a conference on tactics and decided the best technical moves in making analytics a refreshing course for all concerned, and his assistant, Mr. liranscomb, dealt with the freshmen teaching them geometry, trig and song composing!
