junior class play The Junior class play Three Fingers in the Door given on Nov- ember 18 was a success. It featured Laura Enestvedt as a psychotic house girl, George Billiar as a mysterious invalid, and John Eitreim and Margie Wiglund as suspicious caretakers of his home. Visitors to the delapit- ated mansion that was the play’s setting were Marvel Nelson, Sharon Ruter, Karen Tyvold and Ron Sagness. Marlys Eliason played the maid and Orland Johnson the policeman. Mr. Norman Johnson directed the play, while Portia Kohls was the student director. Programs were done by Donna Skogberg. Ushers were Tillie Sietsema, Elsie Olson, Mari- lyn Jacobson and Donna Skogberg. The backstage crew consisted of Tom Samuelson, Ron Sagness, and Orland Johnson. homecoming A Bury the Gophers was the Homecoming cry on September 30, 1955 as the football Vikingston overthe Stewart Gophers, 30-7. Gleva John- son was elected Homecoming queen, and presided at a pepfast, bonfire, parade, and dance. The SHHS band parades Yea team! We won, 30-7 over Stewart Queen Gleva lights the tradlonal bonfire FFA float—a prizewinner Queen Gleva Johnson holds court on her float. Also on the float are Crownbearer Steven Hubert, senior Marlys Saghess, sophomore Sharon Schjoll, flowergirl Linda Kronlokkan, junior Evelyn Hardy, freshman Bonnie Bradeson, seventh grader Edel Stoa, and eighth grader Delores Bredeson. The Pert Waitresses Can I Get You A Cab? banquet and prom On May 19, SHHS became a version of the Stork Club, complete with the canopy, intimate tables, doormen, and black and white clad waitresses. A floor show of songs and skits and a dance band. The Rhythmaires, comple- ted the setting. The banquet and prom were given by the Juniors in honor of the seniors and were advised by Mrs. Octwig and Mr. Isack. Much Fun Was Had by Alii The Rhythmaires Photographers Pose Candy? Gum? 37
