Before becoming the principal at Rogers he taught and served as vice principal and sophomore counselor at Shadle for twenty years. Being a principal at a large high school is not an easy task. it takes a lot of time outside the school hours. A principal generally serves on different committees and community groups within the district. Being an alumni of Rogers means coming back to many changes which include the Annex. the Industrial Arts Department, and the Fieldhouse. Besides all the changes that take place, no school is complete without the outstanding faculty and tremendous student body. We are very lucky to have a principal who cares as tnuch about Rogers as Donald Cobb. Loretta Atwood B.A. U of Wyomin M.A. EWU Math. Computers Nancy Bell T.S.E. English Cooking It Up With Style There are many things which have to be done in order to be a school cook. They start as a substitute, cooking their way from school to school. At first they only work about two hours a day and gradually work up to a full shift lasting from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every school day. Here at Rogers we have seven cooks who have all been working here at least four years. They each have their own job for which they are responsible, and they prepare all of the food we eat right here at school. They all enjoy cooking very much, and being with the students. However, Helen Murphy, the head cook and manager, said that this year there were less students eating in the cafeteria. Diane Floyd B.S. WSU, M.Ed.
