T IRAQ UK S Standing: Mr. Biron, Coach: Hess, Orteig, Spencer, Wolv- in, Blanco, Reed, Iacobson, Prioleau, Carey, Mr. Bethune. Coach. Seated: Searls, Ya- koushkin, Kellogg. West, Cap- tain: Peyton, Pulrang, Lewis. P. Not Present: Fay: Stearns. Stratton, Managers. The development of the track season can be looked upon with optimism. Already the team has gained a de- cisive triumph, proving its superior strength . if , over McBurney with a ' W r ' f score of 55-27. The nu- cleus ot the squad con- sists of a number of experienced runners headed by Captain West, an outstanding and reliable half-miler. The shorter distances are dominated by Peyton and Hess, both of whom should prove valuable to the team. In the field such performers as Yakoushkin and Spencer make winning an easy matter for the Riverdale team. Wolvin, Kellogg, Fay. and Jacobson form an invaluable part of the team because of their strong support. With- out Messrs. Biron's and Bethune's energetic and well-planned coaching the squad could not possibly have attained such high efficiency. In view of these facts we can predict a successful season. T HE UNH! HN!! ill S Without the stars of last year, Coach Scott has been hard pressed to put a polished team on the courts. The first match, played on a cold, blustery day, was lost to a good Fieldston team 4-l: but this cannot be taken as an indication of the squad's real strength. Confident that the team will improve with prac- tice and make a good showing, we wish Cap- tain Rod Kuhn and his team mates, Dick Ga- briel, Perry Frank, and Thorndike Saville, suc- cess in their coming matches. Blum, K., Manager: Riesen- teld, Frank, Murch, Saville. Kuhn, Gabriel, Mr. Scott. Coach. Not Present: Chang. N
