Music is the voice Swing Choir Determination, effort, and the desire to sing together made this year's Swing Choir the best ever. Most of their singing is done outside of school under the direction of Richard Houser. Some of the places the group sang at were The Edgewater Inn, Valley General Hospital, Renton Vil- lage, and the Sartori Senior Citizen's Center, along with the R.H.S. fall play, variety show, and concerts. Everytime the group performs they fill many hearts with joy and brighten their lives with the spirit of their delightful music. Plano Pam Briggs. Experience is shown through their perform- ances at Fall, Winter, and Spring Concerts as well as other outside activities. Much credit is given to Mr. Richard Houser, the choir director, he has made Renton High School well known for its outstanding musical performances. ,,. The Sophomore Girls' Ensemble Group should be given much praise and rec- ognition for all of the hard work that they have done this year. They are a fantastic group of twelve girls that spend much of their free time practicing songs to be performed. Some of the places where they performed are: The R.H.S. Variety Show, Open House, Renton Terrace, Baptist Church Renton Village, and The As- sociation of Retired Persons Club. Working together is one of the most important things that makes this group good. These girls have proven that singing is the heart of hear- ing.
