ADMINISTRATIO Students: Whether you become a laborer, a secretary, a teacher, a doctor, a salesman, or contribute to any other facet of your community, the point is plain, you need not have to be a genius to exercise that power. However, you must learn to work and function on the survival level as well as verbalize on the philosophical level, and you must dis- cover as an individual. To do good, we must first know good. To serve beauty, we must first know beauty. To speak truth, we must first know truth. And we must know these things forourselves, recognize them ourselves, and be able to describe, explain, and communicate them by our- selves when no one else is present to prompt us or bribe us. Such knowledge gives the individual a worthwhile purpose in life. As individuals we must hold true to that purpose and let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing. Goodbye and good luck to the graduating class of 1973. I hope you will find health and happiness in the days ahead. To the underclassmen, I urge each of you to make full utili- zation of your remaining years at our high school. It is with much pleasure that I express my thanks and ap preciation to the students and staff of Ramona High School for a most successful school year. Both groups have earn ed an enviable record of achievement and it is with your at titude and cooperation that the accomplishment became a reality. Challenges presented by today's society have been met but future challenges will indeed be different and most assuredly more complex. By your success in meeting today's challenges you are prepared to more adequately ac cept and meet those challenges imposed upon you in future years. While you cannot change what is past you can direct the future. Accept this as your goal and you will have con tinued success. I am honored to have been associated with you in your ef forts. School Board Members Rudy Stockalper Robert Delong Maurice Chambers William Perdew Herb Walters
