What The Varsity Club ? ff ,hx R X Ro-C Wh -,:. Cdf mi ,,,..f it fl' K lk-jf , Cf Q' Agri. . . 3 A gy 2- ...ia -.-1'Lf if ...mil A The Pueblo Warrior Songleaders were responsible for promoting spirit within the student body as well as stirring up the crowd at games. Routines were planned with the cooperation of all members. During football games half-time disco routines were lead by head songleader Patsy C. Martinez and co-head Cecilia Castillo. Besides performing at games, they also performed at parades and pep assemblies. Mrs. Scott sponsored the Song Leaders but at mid-term she left leaving ludy Gillis as sponsor. Part of their routines were developed at summer camp where they won a first place trophy on display in the lobby. Songleaders were a big part of the games, without them we would be missing something very important. -Veronica R. Lowe The Varsity Club is one of Pueblo's fun clubs, where one must meet a specific requirement. To be a member of this Varsity Club you must earn your major P in any Varsity sport. The Varsity Club is involved in many activities. For example, car washes, candy sales, and the main activity is selling Varsity sports programs. The programs are sold at football, basketball, and volleyball games. Another fund- raising activity was the Varsity Club challenging the faculty in a friendly game of volleyball and basketball. Women faculty beat the girls at volleyball and boys beat the men faculty in basketball. -Veronica R. Lowe
