History As the doors to P.C. H.S. swung open on August 30, 1954, forty-one Green Freshmen entered to form the largest class in high school. During the year we gained Jim Foreman and Elsie Aldridge and lost Kenny Willis, David Winegar, Dale Betts , Edward Williams, and Leon Redko. At initiation we dressed as famous personalities, took our medicine, and became full-fledged students of P. C. H. S. Mr. Andrews was our sponsor and chaperoned our two class parties. We started our Sophomore year with thirty-seven members and chose Mrs. Mack as our class sponsor. Rosemary Rinehart joined our class , while Iim Foreman dropped out and Elsie Aldridge movod away. Thirty-three students composed our Iunior Class. We lost Ronald Seehausen, Mary Lou Land, Alda Neely, and Phyllis Herweh and gained Ruth Vander Waal. On December 7 and 8 we presented our class play Pootloose , under the direction of Lois Stoner. Mrs. Roorda helped us run the Iunior Concessions Stand at football and basketball games. In this way we raised the money necessary to hold the annual Junior-Senior Banquet on May 17, 1957 , in Des Moines. The theme was Hawaiian, and approximately 85 guests were served. During our Senior year our class consisted of thirty-two mem- bers. We had lost Jean Grimes and Marilyn Aalbers and gained Ken Olson. In typical fashion we initiated the freshmen, put to- gether our Yearbook with the help of Mr. Ingle, presented our class play, and attended a lovely banquet given us by the Juniors. As Baccalaureate and Commencement brought our school days to a close, we looked back over many happy memories. We are rather sad to leave P. C. H.S. behind us but look ahead to the future with great expectation.
