Principal ' s Message W. C. Taylor, BA, B.Ed. Again it is my pleasure to congratulate the Tatler Staff and the Teacher Advisers who have made an excellent production in the 1964 yearbook. We all realize that this requires a great deal of organ¬ ization and attention to detail which is all done voluntarily by the teachers and pupils concerned. I would like to express my appreciation for a job well done. At the time of writing, I feel that we are having a very successful year. We have had many obstacles which make it difficult for the school to run effi¬ ciently. The main difficulty has been the fact that we are over-crowded. The classes are too large and many of the teachers have been required to rove from room to room to find a place in which to teach. With the added numbers of students in the school it means crowding in the halls, the lunch area, and the library, and leaves us with no leeway for extra space to handle any added needs. Despite this situation, you, the students, and the teachers, have adapted yourselves to the situation and have gone about your individual tasks with such a cheer¬ ful manner that it is remarkable. I am deeply sin¬ cere when I say that I do appreciate this splendid co-operation that has been given this year. No prin¬ cipal could ask for more. The new teachers who have come to the Collegiate this year and whose pictures appear for the first time in the yearbook, I bid you welcome and trust that you have enjoyed your year on staff. To the teachers who will be leaving us this year, 1 wish you well in your future endeavours and trust that you will carry away kindly thoughts of P.C.I. For the students who are completing their edu¬ cation at our school, I offer you my best wishes for continued success in your future employment or further training. I sincerely hope that you will carry away the benefits of a sound education and a mature attitude which we have tried to give you while you attended this school. We ask you to keep in touch because, at all times, we are interested in what you are doing and how you are getting along. 2
