Angel Flight is a national organization devoted to supporting the purposes, tradi- tions and conccpLs of the United States Air Force. While associated with the Air Force ROTC program and the Arnold Air So- ciety. Angel Flight at Penn State is trying to become more independent. Its members are mostly civilian and one of its goals is simply to instruct women about the military. The organization has about twenty members who carry out community projects during the year. In the past, Angel Flight has done projects at Laurciton and at Mountainview Hospital. Angel Flight also sponsors women’s panels and helps with receptions for top Air Force officials when they arc visiting Penn State. To join the group, one must show a desire and complete a ten- week pledge program. 244 Angel Flighi

The Association of Residence Hall Students is a link between dorm residents and the adminis- tration. The Council of ARHS is made up of two representatives and the president from each dorm area along with the executive officers of ARHS. The Council meets even- week to discuss problems in the dorm areas and also to plan pro- jects and programs. One of the pro- jects ARHS worked on last year was improving communication be- tween University Park and the commonwealth campuses—this pro- ject was in conjunction with USG. IFC and Panhel.
