W. GRANT Since its first appearance at Penn Slate in February, 1922, the Girls, Glee Club has grown so. that today it represents one of the major activities on the campus. Besides several concerts at the College and out-of-town trips, it combines with the Men's Glee Club in presenting' programs. The Girls' Glee Club furnishes entertainment on various occasions, including the Old English Christmas Party and the May Day celebration. The members assist in the carol-singing around the Christmas tree on the campus, and they also go caroling early in the morning on the day before Christmas vacation begins. During past years the glee club has been assisted by the Girls, Varsity Quartet, but due to in. sufficient material the quartet was discontinued this year.
