The Lottery Last year's underclassmen play. The Lottery. was a controversial play describing the unjust killing of an innocent woman by chance. The cast included a large number of people who worked many long, hard hours to make the play a success. The play was directed by Mr. Sylwester. Henry’s former drama teacher. 1) The cast assembles for the curtain call. 2) The villagers begin the annual tradition of stoning an innocent person by the drawing of a marked lottery ticket. 3) The chosen. 0. Nelson, protests her selection to be stoned. 4) The husband of the chosen. T. The Spirit You can feel it in the air on the day of a pepfest — that special feeling inside when you know your school is number one! The students of Patrick Henry have experienced this feeling many times during the course of their years in high school. They filed into the new gym to get a good seat while the teachers were making sure no one skipped out early. Cheerleaders cheered, dancelines danced, captains spoke, and the class spirit was formed. But more importantly, pepfests have become the backbone of pride in dear ’ole Henry High. 1.) The Front Five. Pastel Pats, and Guide-Ons move to the Henry rouser during the fall sports assembly. 2.) A senior crowd is always one with “a touch of class. 3.) Simon says — Take one step forward.” 4.) Football captain Joe Gorzycki is doing what he does best while captain Tom Wortman smiles for the crowd. 5.) Patty Smude and Deanna Hanek concentrate on their next move as Caroline Kroening looks for a familiar face. 6.) The Patriettes' climatic finish to their Up On the Housetop Christmas dance. 7.) The Patriettes entertain the student body during the winter pepfest. 8.) Introducing the courageous varsity football players! 9.) Some people will do anything for a little attention! 10.) Our fall pepfest M.C.'s. Duane Joyer and 8arb Friday. 11.) Not exactly the Rockettes. but they'll do. 119
