MARILYN SMITH-Marilyn likes dating, cooking, and watch- ing T.V. After graduation she is going to take a course at Burroughs Machine Company and get married. SANDRA SOPKIN-Sandy was a member of Student Council and French Club. Family living was her favorite class. Next year she'll be seen at Oklahoma University studying to be a journalist. ELAINE SPACK--Cooking, sleeping, and typing are high on Elaine's list of favorites, She is a member of Pep Club, Y-Teens, Girls' Sports, drama and honor roll. She will attend K.C.U. and hopes to become a teacher. MARSHALL SPIEGEL-After graduation Speidel plans on enlisting in the Navy and then going to school on the G.I. Bill. He has been active in R.O.T.C. and the Naval Reserves. CONNIE STALEY-Being a member of the Commerce Club and president of the Young People's Service League at her church has kept Connie busy. To be a medical secretary seems to interest her most and she will attend I.C. SHERRY STEIN-This ambitious gal wishes to become a religious director and then settle down with a husband. While at Paseo she was in Iotas. president of F.H.A., Pep Club, Y-Teens, Girls' Sports, and Drama Workshop. Next year she will attend Phillips or Baker. WAYNE STEINER-Radio is the big thing in this guy's life. He plans to work this summer then go to I.C. where he will study to become an electrical engineer. GEORGIA STEPHENS-Georgie was very busy in Thicions, Quill and Scroll, vice president of Pep Club, treasurer of Mask and Wig, decoration chairman of the Mixer Committee, co-editor of the Paseon StaH, co-chairman of publicity of Y-Teens, and a homeroom officer. This cute gal will attend Missouri Valley next year. CAROL SWAGER - Working, cooking, and reading are Carol's favorite pastimes. She was a member of Iotas. The Kansas City Art Institute or I.C. will claim Carol next year, where she will go into some form of commercial art. SMITH, Sovkisr Smex STEINER STEPHENS Swiioilrt TILLMAN Taorzu. Tuners: SUE TANN - Pep Club and Y-Teens claimed Sue as a member. She is undecided about college. If she goes, M.U. is her choice. Her ambition is to get married. CLARKE TAYLOR-Roller skating really goes over big with this guy. T.V. is another one of his favorite pastimes. His ambition is to study engineering and he will be welcomed at Iunior College next year. DAVE THORNE--This swell guy was a member of Iuntos, Chemistry Club, Radio Club, Pansophic Club, Mixer Committee, Student Council, Discussion Club and the Chess Club. Dave plans to go to I.C. and then to the California Institute of Technology where he will take up rocket research. CARA TILLMAN-Cara really enjoys playing the piano and sewing. Psychology and lunch are her favorite subjects. The College of Commerce will receive her next year. She hopes to become a secretary or a dancing teacher. BOB TRUTZEL- Bob will claim K.U. as his Alma Mater next year where he will take up engineering. While at Paseo he was president of his homeroom, on the Student Council Executive Board and in the Lettermen's Club and Keats. Sports really go over big with this swell guy. DICK TURPIN- See Class Officers. IUDY VOLKUWITZ-Iudy was in the French Club, Y-Teens, Pep Club, Drama Workshop, and several talent assemblies. She won a singing contest her junior and senior years. The K.C. Con- servatory of Music will claim this gal next year. IOHN VRENTAS-This swell guy really enjoys listening to American and Greek records. The Student Council, Engineers, and the Greek Orthodox Church Choir all claim Iohn as a member. He is not sure what college he will attend but he will take up engineering. NATALIE VVACHTEL--She was a member of French Club, Mixed Chorus, and Advanced Girls' Chorus. VVhen not in school bowling and horseback riding kept her busy. MARLENE ROSE-Patricians claimed this Pirate senior. She enjoyed being a member of the Leader's Training Fellow- ship and a representative to Center Youth Senate. Nebraska University or I.C. will be next for Marlene. LEONARD ROSEN-Lenny was a member of El Ateneo and math rated tops as a subject. He spent his time having fun and next year it'll be I.C. or M.U. for this future engineer. ARLENE ROSENBLUM-Arlene held membership in El Ateneo, Drama Workshop, Travelers' Club, Y-Teens, and Biology Club. Driver's education was her favorite class and after graduation she'll go to K.C.U. CAROL ROSS-Ieanie was a member of Mask and Wig, Pep Club, Y-Teens, and Commerce Club. She enjoys listening to records and art work. After graduation Carole will go to K.C.U. HERBERT RUBIN-Veep of Iuntos, a member of Dis- cussion Club, Radio Club, Student Council, fall play cast, Latin Club, Interclub Council, and Traihc Squad really kept Herby busy. After graduation he'll go to Washington University to study medicine. EMMA RUCKER-Iotas, Y-Teens, Pep Club, Travelers' Club, Orchestra, and Girls' Chorus were Em's activities. She enioyed being vice-president of M.Y.F. and a member of her church choir. Next year she'll attend K.C.U. or I.C, GLORIA RUEFLY-Getting a iob as a seamstress is this senior's ambition. She was a member of Science Club and clothing was her favorite class. Reading and sewing also kept her busy. MARTIN SCHAEFER-A Cappella, National Honor So- ciety, Press Staff, and Traffic Squad claimed Martin as a member. This music minded senior enjoyed singing in his church choir and playing the piano. Next year he may be at Iunior College. HERBERT SCHAFFER--History and bookkeeping were this Pirate's favorite classes. Having a good time was Herb's motto. After working this summer he will go to I.C. and then K.C.U. IUDY SCHMIEDESKAMP - Sports and going to the movies are favorite pastimes of Iudy's. Gym is her favorite subiect. She is planning to go to K.U. to become a nurse. STANLEY SELIGSON-Weight lifting, basketball, and having fun kept this senior busy. Stan worked half day and was a member of Radio Club. After graduation it's on to M.U. TEDDY SHANE-See Class Oliicers. SONIA SILVERMAN-El Ateneo, French Club, Pansophic Club, F.T.A., Discussion Club, Student Council, and National Honor Society claimed Sonia as a member. Art and playing the piano are her favorite pastimes. Sonia will continue her educa- tion at K.U. MARLYNNE SIMONS-Marlynne enjoyed membership in Iotas, A Cappella, Pep Club, Biology Club, Y-Teens, and Girls' Chorus. At her church she was assistant organist and in the choir. After graduation Marlynn will soon get married. BETTY SIMPSON-Betty was a member of Rainbow and C.Y.F. Bowling and skating took up most of her time out of school. After graduation, Betty will be a beauty operator. CAROLYN SKIDMORE- Skid has been kept busy in Pep Club, A Cappella Choir, Chemistry Club, Music Club, and the Pansophic Club. She plans to attend Iunior College next year to begin her studies for a doctor. ELLEN SMITH-People are Ellies favorite subject and she enjoys dancing, dogs, and horses. Miami University will claim this gal next year where she hopes to find a millionaire. IANET SMITH -Well-known for her friendly personality, Ian has served as treasurer of Pep Club. co-chairman of publicity for Y-Teens, recording secretary of Thicions, Senior Editor on the Paseon Staff, homeroom oiiicer, a member of Mask and Wig, Mixer Committee, Interclub Council, and on the Executive Board of the Student Council. This little gal was a Miss Peppy Attendant. It's K.C.U. or the Art Institute for Ianet next year where she will study to be a fashion designer. WADDELL WATERS WAXINIAN WEINSHEINK WENDEGATZ WENTZ WILLIALIS WILSON WINDBIGLER MIKE WADDELL-As president of Engineers, secretary- treasurer of Discussion Club, Mask and Wig, Traliic Squad, Boys' Chorus, Philharmonic Chorus, and the Conservatory Choirister, kept Mike busy. He will attend college next year and someday be a success in the directing, acting, or producing field. BARBARA WATERS- Bobbie sure was busy after entering Paseo her junior year. She was a member of Patricians, F.H.A., and Commerce Club. She will attend the Art Institute next year and hopes to be a great artist someday. ANITA WAXMAN-To be a laboratory technician seems to interest Anita most. She will attend either I.C. or Central Missouri State next year. She was in F.H.A., Chemistry Club, and Rainbow. DENNY WEAVER-Denny plans on going into the Navy after graduation then to college. Missouri University sounds great to him and he will study to be an engineer. He was a member of the Chemistry Club. LARRY WEBB-Football really went over big with Larry. It was his favorite subiect, activity, and pastime. He was a member of the Lettermen's Club. Next year Baker or M.U. will claim this great guy. After college he will make a good Navy pilot. KATHLEEN WEIDMAN-This cute little gal was secretary- treasurer of the Chemistry Club, president of Thicions, and vice president of Y-Teens. on the Executive Board of the Student Council and Pep Club, member of Mixer and Assembly Committees, Nurses' Assistant, on the Press Staff and senior editor of the Paseon Staff, Quill and Scroll, and secretary of Interclub Council. Kathy will attend Baker next year and then she hopes to become a home- making demonstrator. IUDY WEINSHEINK-This peppy Pirate was a member of the French Club. National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, A.A.U.W., Discussion Club, fall play cast, Patricians, high honor roll, and the Press Staff. She will be seen around Washington U. in St. Louis next year where she will enter the advertising Field. GRETCHEN WENDEGATZ-See Class Officers. RONALD WENTZ-Fishing, hunting, and cars are Ronald's favorite pastimes. He was a member of the Chemistry Club and DeMolay. He will attend K.C.U. or I.C. next year where he will start his studies to become a dentist. WEAVER WEBB WEIDMAN WI-IITE WI-IITTINGTON WIDMIER WOLFE XVOLVERTON WRIGHT BEVERLY WHITE - Driving cars and talking on the telephone are her favorite pastimes. Beverly was a member of the Chemistry Club, Music Club, Band, Orchestra, Girls' Sports, and Pep Club. After graduation she will go to college where she will take up some kind of music. LARRY WHITTINGTON--Larry was a member of A Cappella, Iuntos, and special gym. Track and dancing go over big with him. Psychology was his favorite subject. Warrensburg will claim this swell guy next year. I-Ie hopes to own his own business someday. GERALD WIDMIER-Iuntos claimed this swell guy as a member. Science was his favorite subject. He will attend K.C.U. for one year and M.U. for three years. His great ambition is to become an engineer. RICHARD WILLIAMS-Dick Was kept busy in the Music Club, A Cappella, Iuntos. R.O.T.C., K.C. Philharmonic Chorus, K.C. Archery Club, and his church choir. He was also Battalion Commander in R.O.T.C. He will be seen around K.C.U. next year where he will study to be a dentist. LA VON WILSON-Lifesaving, Girls' Sports, secretary of Iotas, Girls' Chorus, F.H.A., and Pep Club all kept this cute gal busy. Sports were her favorite pastimes and music her favorite subiect. She plans to work after graduation. IOHN WINDBIGLER- Windy was a member of the Chem- istry Club and his church fellowship. His favorite subject was mathematics. He plans to attend Purdue next year where he will study to become a mechanical engineer. DAVID WOLFE--To teach history or literature sounds great to David. He will attend I.C. next year and then some university. He was a member of the French Club, Future Teachers of America, Trafhc Squad, an oflicer in R.O.T.C. and an Eagle Scout. MARCHETA WOLVERTON--To become an airline hostess and travel all over the world is i'Marty's ambition. She will attend I.C. next year and then Warrensburg or Park College. She was a member of Y-Teens and treasurer of Patricians. LELAND WRIGHT- Lew was on the Book Crew, and a member of R.O.T.C., and Radio Club. He Was also a member of the scouts and his church basketball team. He will attend the Kansas City Barber College next year or join the air force. 23
