Under the leadership of presidents Stef Turner and Penny Peterson, school service activities such as hosting Or- ientation and Hospitality Days for new students, and decorating and serving at sports banquets were executed. The Red Cross Friendly Visiting Program, working at Five Acres Homes, and cleaning up Sierra Madre Cemetery headed the list of community proi- ects. Key Club and Auroras iointly sponsored the Hathaway Home Christmas party, and the annual Aurora-Key picnic. With the motto We Build, Key Club members constructed their service organization on firm foun- dations of well planned projects such as the Career Day, Hathaway Christmas party, and canned food drive for needy families. Active presidents Gary Coburn and Tom Allen led their club in its vigorous sale of football programs, assembly ushering, and clean-up campaign. Fired with the enthusiasm of a new organiza- tion, the S Club launched worthwhile service proi- ects and initiated club traditions, At a luncheon held February l4 by the honor group's sponsor, the Soroptimist Club of Pasadena, the charter members Arnett, Ernie Fukumoto.
