eft tors 7 Better The Leaves of Memory for 1968 is different. It is a yearbook which has utilized the resources of Park View and the surrounding community to the fullest. All things must change as the years go by and likewise, our yearbook had to make progress. Therefore, this yearbook has been done in the most modern way possible to meet the changing times. It is our hope that this book has been done in such a way as to satisfy the standards of this generation. This yearbook is solely the product of the students of Park View, for like all yearbooks, it will become an index to the traditions, history, and way-of-life of a school. But it is different because it expresses Park View High School as only the students and faculty can express it. This is a yearbook of this generation. This is Park View for 1968. As editors of the Leaves of Memory for 1968, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all students who have sacrificed their time and energy to make this yearbook a success. We are very grateful to Miss Virginia Abernathy, Miss Sue Martin, and Mrs. Carol Wade, our advisors, for their undying patience, hard work, and guidance which helped make this book a success. We wish to thank Mr. Morris and the faculty for being so patient on days of class disruption. Our gratitude goes to Mr. Frank Nanney, Jr., without whose photography this annual would have been greatly handicapped. We would like to thank Mr. Max Ward, Mr. Paul Underwood, and Delmar Printing Company for their assistance throughout the year. We also wish to thank the many business organizations and clubs that have sponsored our annual. Finally, and most important, we would like to thank the entire Leaves of Memory Staff, whose sacrifices and willingness to work has made this yearbook. Our work on this book has been a challenge, but one which we have thoroughly enjoyed. To the faculty and students of Park View, — “Thank You.” Sincerely, Kay and Ronnie i
