Lacking in stature was never a problem for Dawn Koehler. She made up for it in spirit and enthu- siasm towards everything she be- came involved in. Dawn was rec- ognized as a tough competitor in all of her sports: volleyball, bas- ketball, soccer, and softball. She had a combined total of eleven years of play experience. Even when she relaxed, Dawn participated in hobbies like long distance biking, an excellent sport for stamina development. Dawn did enjoy occasionally relaxing with good friends.

Striving Toward the Goal Dribbling may hold the key to the future for Brian Beard. Im- proving and working on his soccer skills was very important to Brian as he would like to go to college on a sports scholarship. He held the position of left defender during the past season, his first year on the team at OHS. Brian has spent the last ten years playing soccer and also plays for the Largo Unit- ed Wolves. Brian saw high school as a place where a student can have it all if he works hard enough. Brian 9 . 3 V , - j 9 H w if X 1 A , ,Q concentrated on getting good grades and keeping his eligibility as well as having fun and going out with his girlfriend. Soccer may become a career for Brian if he works hard at it during high school and college, but he was practical when he thought about the future. If for some reason sports does not be- come a reality, he has looked into the computer field as a good alter- native career in our technologi- cally oriented world.
