Sh' d N N' h ls The Cardinal Band has had a full season this year beginning with the Tulare Parade, September 21, Next came the Reedley Fiesta Parade and the annual Dinuba Raisin Day Parade. Head majorette, Ilene Lyons, with the aid of her assistants, Oteke Hall, Snookie Ash, Amelia Nunez, Gwen Rogers and Judy Bishop, let the band expertly through its maneuvers during the half-time shows at the home football games with Corcoran, Central, Lindsay and Strathmore. October zo, six chosen musicians of the band participated in the All-County Band at Visalia. Those chosen were: Carol Gott, Wen- dell Frazier, Everett Billman, Carla Mason, Kenneth Diggs, and Howard Billman. On November 4, the Band traveled to Fresno to participate in the half-time activities, along with a number of other bands, at the Fresno State--Cal Poly game at Ratcliffe Stadium. A fine program of music presented by the band, was enjoyed by visitors to Open House, November 9. The band supplied the pep songs for the bonfire rally at the Dinuba -- Orosi game. December 2, the band participated in the dedication of the new Christmas decroations and lights in Orosi. After Christmas vacation the band got in tune again playing at the home basketball games. A day of fun was enjoyed by the band on January 8 when a trip was made to the snow.
