Kiviniemi, Fiske, Dixon, Swickard, Merrill, Hobbs, Schwarzwalder, Kenty Local concerts, both on campus and off; con- cert tours in Ohio and neighboring states; radio performances and social functions — all are on the program each year for this fine group of singers. The club was first organized in 1880, and therefore is rated as one of the oldest campus organizations. However, in 1937, it was divided into two groups — Junior and Senior. The Junior group serves as a training ground for freshmen men, while the Senior group is comprised of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The junior organization carries on much the same type of program as the Senior group, but on a smaller scale. Each group meets twice a week. The Junior group practices under the direction of Mr. Sam- uel Goldman, and the Senior group under the direction of Mr. Louis Diercks. [178] [179]
