Members also presented other minor plays throughout the year. As one ot the youngest groups of our drama department, this club gathered many valuable experiences to help them in later years. The club presented two plays in assembly, Uncle Bob's Pride , and the Monlcey's Paw . In March the members took a trip to New York City to see The King and l . There were also field trips to see television shows. Omcers are President, Peggy Giles, Vice-Pres- ident, -Ann May Boyd, Secretary, Janice Sindt, and Treasurer, Diane Smith. Q Y pkg. 'A+ S-43' 21.1. Members of the Eleventh Grade Dramatic Club presented Antic Spring in an assembly last February seventh. Advisor for the club is H. Joseph Rowland. Highlight ot the activities was seeing a Broad- way production in New York City. During the club meetings, when there was no play rehear- sal, the members devoted their time to reading extra plays and presentations. This part of the drama department has existed tor only two years but in that short length of time has established another excellent activity in the high school. MEDICINE SHOW Dr. Phillips Medicine Show, an assemblage of explosions, acids, terrifying apparatus, and viscious students toured the county car- rying scientific phenomenon to those watching. Requests for performances poured in at such a rate that they could not all be satisfTed. These members meet every Wednesday to dis- cuss various types of acting and stage setting. Main project of the club was a presentation of a play in assem- bly. From this they garnered much useful information which will prove valuable in future years. President of the club is Jeff- rey Lief. Advisor is Miss Chad- yeane Paulus. Left to right: B. O'Connor, L Klainer, R. Taylor, L. SUCSY. CHESS CLUB The Chess Club with Mr. Warren Templin as its capable advisor, is divided into two groups, the beginners and the experts . The beginners, who have played under fTfty games, learn the basic opening moves, while the more experienced players study the more popular opening moves and try to perfect their games. Since the club was organized for sport only, no officers were elected.
