Oklahoma Bulldogs Defeated Having already won the first two games of the season the Demons were ready for their first home game. The Southwestern Oklahoma Bulldogs traveled to Demon stadium in Natchitoches where they received their second defeat from the Demons. Even though the game was close at times, the Demons came out on top with a score of 17-10. Paul Tacker recovered one of the Bulldogs first fumbles to put the Demons in a winning mood. The Demons showed the best passing defense of the season against the Bulldogs, and Donald Johnson made the longest punt return of 29 yards against this team. This made the third win for the Demons. At right, Joe Beck Payne made a key reception. Bob Wattigny gained necessary yardage. Tacker, Kelly, Hrapmann and Gaudet stopped the Bulldogs from making a gain. 202

Demons Upset at Homecoming Homecoming for the Demons brought their first defeat of the season, from Northeast Louisiana ' s Indians. The game was close with the final score 14-15. This was a downfall for the Demons who were on a winning streak. Paul Tacker made an interception for the Demons and gained 84 yards in a big play. Linebacker Gordon Boogaerts made the other Demon interception against Northeast, and Larry Gaudet recovered the Indians ' only fumble. At right Donald Johnson made a long one for the Demons. At bottom Pittman gained yardage as the Indians did a war dance. At bottom right Reggie Thompson was tackled in mid-air. t
