KC ' Reader's T heatre: A Chrzslmas Carol Reader's Theatre is not merely an actor reading a script in a drab, monotone voice. It is an oral interpre- tation of the reader in which he uses vocal and facial expressions to portray different characters. One of the readers describes Reader's Theatre as a drama l that requires 1ots of work because it takes practice to get the expression in your words and face. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens was adapted for the Reader's Theatre production this year. The facul- ty directors were Mr. Pierce and Mrs. Coon. 7 r .1..., , 1 Nan-atoms were Amy Zobrist, Carol Perry, Meg Shane, and Diana Cook. 2 Don Foley played Scrooge. 3 Jay Milligan was Scrooge's nephew and the ghost of Christmas present. Scott Clark played the young Scroogeg rw 5. 9 . Shelly Deifelmeier was Fan, Scrooge's sisterg and Sue Wittmer was Scrooge's former fiance. 4 Tom Quevillon was the boy in the street and Steve Henriksen played Mar1ey's ghost, while Mary Draeger was the gentlewoman. .LL C .
