Class Will We the graduating class of 1956 of Central High School in the city of Montevideo in the county of Chippewa, and state of Minnesota being of sound mind and sounder bod ' yr upon leaving these hallowed halls, sorrowfully leave behind our worldly possessions d an cherished attributes to those who will be taking our places as seniors. They will serve as a final memory of us in our old Alma Mater and we bequeath them with the hope that all juniors will do justice to them. As we publish and declare this to he our last will and testament, we bestow, bequeath or Just plain give away the following items: MARILYN JORDAH bequeaths her air of innocence to Lois Frisholm. GAIL Funny Face BEHBENS leaves her skill in that field to Carol Weisbrod and Barb Benson. MYRTICE TOSTENSON and MABEL VELDE willingly leave their art talent and their appealing way with Mr. Stal to Judy Miller. RONNY REE will lend, until needed, his intriguing smile to the lucky Joan Schneider and Bev Agre. RICHARD SAMPSON wills his way of being seen and not heard to Gertrude Haugerud. BERNICE ALLEN leaves her slim figure to Kay Lorans. KAREN STANDRING leaves her sister Gwen the ability of getting certain Basketball players home early. PAUL WOLFF wills his foxyl?D ways to William Nash and Donald Koenen. DARRELL BOFFERDING relinquishes his chair in chorus to Peder Borsgard. Donald Winters receives KENNY AIEKEN'S assortment of cars. JERRY REE leaves his knowledge of cars and backroads to Ronald Ross. TIM HUNT awards his title of 'God's Gift to Women' l?l to Jack Arnold. DAVID OLSON and BRYAN PETERSON hand down their appreciation of some underclass girls to AlDean Sheldon and Richard Carlson. LEONARD GRIMM wills his talents ffootball includedl to Charles Tillman. JEANETTE REKSTAD gives her clever ways of getting around to Janice Nokleby. RICHARD JACOBSON forks over his unique ability to make a hayride a success to Virginia Beltz. Vernon Koenen hopefully awaits the endowment of of learning.- DON SYDE'S 'love of the institution STEVE BONN leaves his enchantingly good looks to the whole Junior Class--they surely need it. Pete Anderson will now be the woman thriller of DELANE JOH SON. I I Monte High with the consent of JEANIE Lucky JOHNSON gives her '46 Olds back to the Indians namely--Larry Doebbert and Jim Vik JIM 'girl-shy SANDVIK concedes his bashfulness to Willard Norton. RITA PEDEN'S pleasure in taking long walks is left to Shirley Smith. DAVID BROVOLD hands over a pair of keys to his '55 Chev to Paul Wickland. JANICE LYSHOLM wilk her cute little giggle to Margaret Rolloff. CAROL WEST leaves her excursions to neighboring towns to Dawn Gothe. GRETA BORGEN dials Jonay Lanes into her love for long telephone conversations. AUDREY BORG and GAIL SEDERSTROM leave their love of late hours and Granite to two Appleton fans, Margaret Cleggett and Gwen Skrukrud. BABB VAN HEUVELN wills her recipe for delicious JAMES ACERS reluctantly gives up his roadmap to DARWOOD SANDBERG leaves the halls of Monte High and Sigrid Lund, if they will take them. JOEY BU G loses his levis to Chuckie Grams. IARLYS KRENZ confers her waitress experience to ELIZABETH ANDERSON saddles-up the Old Grey Mare LAVONNE PETERSON passes on her knowledge of the MARLYS SCHLOSSER leaves her unneeded laughs and popcorn to Joanne Buseman. Dawson to Ole Velde. to Dorothy Johnson, Loren Herrlich, Elaine Sunderlund. for Clara Hacker. Dewey Decimal System to giggles to Janice Garbe. Marlene Hegre. What a gala year that was with our class meet- ings and parties! The main events of our parties were nWink-em' and nMusical Chairs.n Remember the play, nWilt Thou Mabel?' with Marilyn Jordahl showing her great talent as a minister, and Peggy Peterson showing up Liberace as she stumbled through the wedding march. the year the Monte kids Let's all remember this was rural, Watson, Wegdahl, and united to form the class of nl956n---the stupendous, above all-- great, wonderful, marvelous, famous, record-braking, and modest senior class. through the fingers of time. Remember the Red Cross drive in Miss Margaret Johnson's class when we set a record which we, out of the goodness of our hearts, hope will be broken. In our class meetings we also set a record on our ability to be able to communicate more w. p. m. fwords per minutel than any other class. The re- sult was that we were placed in alter- nate seats in the auditorium. EJNI ever has there been a year like the junior year. All of us were pushing peanuts, pop-corn, and candy, whether it was in the chilly atmosphere of the foot- ball season or in the heat and fervor of the basketball season. Never will the residents of Montevideo and the surround- ing area forget our junior class play, nour Miss Brooks,' nor will we forget our very successful Heart Hop in Feb- ruary. Ilijven now as we are seniors, walk- ing down memory lane, many of our re- collections are still vivid, such as the long, brown stockings of our grade school days, which have been outmoded by knee D H1 5 ffK socks and bermudas. PHYLLIS REDEPENNING--after we twisted her arm--decided to leave her prized possession, her car, to Shirley Vik. GORDY BENTSON has consented to leave his job at Sears And Roebuck to make room for Bob Olson. The poise and beauty of JANICE LOVHAUG goes to Janet Armstrong. DONALD WIG'S status as maker of delicious malts is transferred to Carole Broten and Nancy Burgeson. PAT TEREICK wills her nightmares to Sandra Hockstein and Carol Mills. JERRY BORENE wills his Social Science pen--unless he forgets--to David Halvorson. KERRINE GILSRUD leaves her 'only girl' status in the physics class to Irene Morehouse. Katherine Jacobson will be given DOROTHY BOTTEN'S position in the Usher Club. BAYARD GORDON leaves his careful ways to Wilbur Norman. DOLORES MOE leaves her 'Theater Talents' to Ramona Bresson. MARLENE SKEIE passes on her fondness for Watson to Janice Dvergsten. SHARON HAUG leaves Benson to Sharron Maus and Diane Kurtzbein. KAY 'Half-size' KEILEN lesves her ability to be a safe and sane driver to Susan Stuber. TOM HOLEN hands on his long list of secret admirers to Lowell Gemsey. TIM ONDAHL wills his way with 'gay Paree wimmin' to Harlan Eid and Terry Colgrave. DAVID McCLUNG presents his cute blue glasses to Carroll Adams.
