L, f-Vgqti N Comprenez-vous? Fight, Team, Fight Parents are kids again We all have shared the cramming for tests, the dread of receiving report cards, and the trips to the principal's office for many different reasons. We students have watched the finished product of the precision rehearsals for the musical concerts and sensed the tense nervousness in the air before the curtain went up on an assembly or school play. We have felt, with the members of the band, the overwhelming emotion when the strains of The Star Spangled Banner cut the air on a cold autumn night. We have shared the bruise of each player on the athletic field and have responded to the cheerleaders' rousing yells. We have kept the lights burning late at our Alma Mater as we worked on various projects. As seniors we went to the polls to choose our class officers, ordered namecards, pic- tures, and announcements. As the senior play ended we realized that our time on this hill High above Monongah's waters was nearly over. We have made many friendshipse some may end soon after graduation, but others will remain to be cherished through the years. We realized also how much had been done for us--by the teachers and our fellow classmates. We attended Baccalaureate: and on Class Night we watched our students perform on the high school stage for the last time. Finally as it neared time to receive our diplomas, we knew there would never be another feeling like the one shared as we sang our Alma Mater for the last time. END OF FOUR MEMORABLE YEARS Thirteen

IT LOOKS SO BIG emoriefi 0 .SZAQUK Every person collects many memories on his journey through the pages of Time. As graduating seniors we are now closing a chapter on some of the most wonderful memories we are ever to acquire. We entered the doors of Monongahela High School with great apprehension and expectation. Through the past four years we have learned that upper classmen don't know so very much after all and that teachers are people who can become invaluable friends. We have overcome our anxieties and met our problems with a will to succeed. We have thrilled to triumph and tasted the feeling of defeat. We shall never forget the excitement surrounding the freshmen party and how we didn't know whether we should really wear socks to the first soc hop. We struggled through Caesar and the Gallic wars and nervously explained geometry theorems. We attended the dedication of the Iunior High School and ate lunch in the new cafeteria. As juniors we worked diligently as salesmen during Prom Candy Week. How thrilled we were to receive our class rings. The time spent in making roses and the late hours of decorating the gym were well rewarded when everyone viewed the magnificent outdoor garden of Moonlight and Roses at that memorable Iunior-Senior Prom. I do solemnly promise At last it's 3:15. Moonlight and Roses
