To him and 'lo fhe 'leam go our hearliesl' congra+ulo+ions for 'lheir brilliani' record. Mr. Elder and fhe boys compiled a +o+al cf1'wen+y-+wo vicfories oui ol +wen+y-six s'I'ar+s. The sfarfing line-up consisled of four seniors and one sophomore. George Dempsey led fhe feam and all of Souih Jersey in scoring from his posiiion as forward. Paired off wi+h Dempsey af fhe olher forward spoi was Ted Joya, a sopho- more who eniered Merchan+ville High School ihis year and almosl immediaiely won a posifion on fhe varsily squad. Manning fhe pivol' spol' was big Jim Wiggins, who also scored his share of poinls. Playing +he guard posi+ions and offering excellenl defense were Glenn Conklin, skilled af las?-passing, and Kenny Buller, known for his versafilily.
