MODERN high school has a wide variety of activities going on throughout the school year, in addition to the formal class study and instruction of its students. Education in such a school is not only preparation for fu- ture living, it is real living, here and now. There was a time in the past when some students mdy have been justified in general dislike of school be- cause nothing in the school program appealed to them. But when a modern school offers opportunities in studies along all lines of knowledge, and activities of all sorts to supplement them, then cz boy or girl must certainly be odd if he has o ge-neral dislike of school, it would seem that he dislikes living.
