Produced by' McLaurin Annual McLaurin Attendance Center Florence, Mississippi Our theme Country Tigers was chosen so that we could play up the fact that we attend a country school in the sticks and that we're proud of it! We think we have the best of both worlds, we live close enough to the lackson Metropolitan area to get there in less than thirty minutes. When we come home we leave the heavy traffic, noise, pollution, and congested areas for the peace and beauty of the country life. It is evident that people from all walks of life are beginning to appreciate the value of country living. For instance, country music is hear that city people have to take a drive in the country to relax. All we have to do is sit in a rocking chair on our front porch and we have green grass, blue skies, beautiful meadows, and trees within our sights. What could be more relaxing than that? Through the pages of this book you will notice we use slang expressions, colloquialisms and, at times, poor grammar. Our attempt is not to make fun of anyone or of anyone's lifestyle, but to affectionately imitate the ways of country life while at the same time create lasting and wonderful memories of this school year for the students here at McLaurin. We hope you enjoy it, we enjoyed working on it.
