Dave Aucoin 1962 Basketball The T962 basketball team was led by co-captains Jim Archey and Joe Spinazola. The Mohawks were a well balanced club. They were a running ball club and they hustled from start to finish. The A-Z Trio composed of Archey, Carroll and Zoltek never let up on defense or offense. Perachi and Spinazola provided broad strength and were close in scoring punch. Coach Jarck worked long and hard with the individuals and molded them into a team. Always encouraging, always demanding the fighting spirit, Coach Jarck contributed immeasurably to the team's success. Nearly every game was a cliff hanger but the team showed its ability and courage by finishing with a 15-7 record. The team made the playoffs and beat Castleton in the seminfinals but lost to a big, hot shooting Gorham, Maine team in the finals for the Northern Division crown. Only Dave Aucoin will be lost through graduation so the outlook is bright for next year. Win or lose, they should be iust as exciting games. T962 RECORD Wins Against: Waterbury, Lovell, Fitchburg, Castleton, Albany, Keene, Salem, Willimantic, Westfield, Danbury, Berkshire Christian. Losses Against: Westfield, Windham, Willimantic, Danbury and Waterbury.

1 962 Baseball N. A. S. C.'s varsity baseball team under the able leadership of coaches Don Ziter and Gene O'Brien entered its fifth year of collegiate competition. Prospects for a winning season looked bright at the beginning of the year, especially in the pitching department with the return of veteran Tom Condron and the debut of hard throwing John Mozden. N. A. S. C. iumped off to a quick start with identical IO-8 wins over Danbury and Keene. The third game saw a strong Westfield team come in and clip the Profs 4-l. This defeat was then followed by losses to an undefeated Castleton and a very strong Worcester Team. North Adams got back on the winning trail with wins over Fitchburg and Dan- bury again. The Profs would've ended up playing .SOO ball had it not been for the season's final with Westfield. The team ended up with a 4-5 season. John Mozden was again the bright star for the Profs at the plate as were Bill Ostrander, Rog Goodell and Joe Santacroce. A word must be said for Jack Gallivan, our able scorer, who was present at all the games with his usual hustle and efficient bookkeeping. Seniors who wound up their collegiate career were Don Ziter, Gene O'Brien, Tom Condron, and Charie LeClair.
