The main goal of the council was to revitalize the school spirit that had died in recent years. They began by announcing the 1979 motto: ltNever has there been a class so ine, as the Mighty class of '79l . And declaring royal blue and light blue as the class colors. They went on to have many fund raisers in order to finance the Senior Picnic and Senior Luncheon held at the end of the year. The year ended spectacularly, with an all time first, the Senior Party was an all night cruise to Catalina Island. Sandy Wong listens attentively.
