Student Council The Student Council was created mainly to act as 21 student governing body and to strivc for closer unity between students and faculty. The two major activities sponsored by the Student Council are the running of a Booster Drive and the sale of student activity tickets. Other activities include the sponsoring of n West Week and various social affairs. Members of thc student council are elected in every home room each year. Of- ficers ure elected in May of each year from a group of candidates from the Junior and Sophomore class.

THE RADIO CLUB The Radio Club came into being in 1952. Every week the members take part in an actual radio program. Their pro- gram is usually made up of news of in- terest conceruing West High activities and coming events at West.
