Q M Sean Jordon overtakes a suprised Pirate Harrier. Ed Jackson gives all to win. Cross Country is constantly pointed out by sports fans as a world for in- dividuals. The harrier has an extra- ordinary quality of self-pride which is strengthened with each stride he takes strides of endurance and courage . The Knights of the '75 Cross Country team certainly displayed these quali- ties . The Lynwood Harriers had only five runners for most of the meets, while opponents had anywhere from ten to fifteen . Despite this, the Knights finished second over-all in league, and third in league finals. With such outstanding runners as Ed Jackson, Sam Taffola, James Enders- by, Sean Jordan, and Frank Chavez, the Knights figure to be in the thick of things next year, especially with the expert coaching of lVlr. Al Higa. The highpoint of the season occurred when the Knights beat the league champs, Bellflower, 27-28 with two Knights sprinting ahead of two Bucs at the wire.
