Their service to the schools of Ironwood is given without compensation. Responsibility rests with the Board of Education for determin- ing all school policy, approving the selection of all staff members, the courses to be taught, and the instruction- al material to be used. The Board adopts and administers the annual budget. Many hours are spent by each member performing the duties for which he is elected. We, the class of 1959, wish to express to the Board of Education our appreciation for all they have done to aid us in our school careers. We realize that there are many things which are their concern of which we may have little or no knowledge. For their interest and their efforts on behalf of the schools of Ironwood, we thank them.
