Alien creatures stalked the halls of LC as Mr. Cataldo's art classes filmed a 16 millimeter color science-fiction movies called 100 MOONS. Mr. Cataldo, Miss Leavell, and members of the Science Fiction class wrote most of the script, which involves a class from another planet going on a field trip and getting entangled in an interplanetary war with the Zymots labovel, ugly red aliens. The cast included former L C teacher Ray Cosma as an absent-minded pro- fessor, Diana Dudash as an Amazonian heroine, Dorothy Pentito as a nervous student, Phil Fragassi as an obnoxious big-mouth, Jim Leo- nard as a quiet technician, and lVlr. Flament labove leftl as a boring administrator. Carla Restifo did the voice of a flirtatious robot named Ella, while Bobbi Pulcer was the voice of Phant llefti, a bumbling little robot who saves the day. lPhant, who used to work as a garbage can, also appeared in the Gong Showl. Various students appeared as aliens of one sort or another--Mr. Cataldo played a Zymot. Filming took place at NASA'S Lewis Research Center, on the Lorain Com- munity College grounds, and in the LC pool. Hopefully, the stunning special effects will be completed in 1979, and LC will have its own Close Encounter of the Third Kind. lOpposite page, frontl Phant gets a hug from Carla Rnstifo, l2ndJ Nlr.
