Allentown was humili- ated by a strong Bethlehem team, 3244. with lasiello. Deibler. Thompson, and .lacohy among others, deci- sioning their opponents. It was nip and tuck all the way in this meet until Parker Jacoby sewed up the contest with a pin. The Red and Blue defeated the Canaries of Allentown 26-flZ with Ayres and Iasiello registering falls and Ehret, Deihler, Thompson, Mclntyre, and -lacohy gaining decisions. Northampton and Nazareth completed a successful season for the IIIZIIIUCII. losing to Bethlehem hy scores of 23-19 and 29-13 respectively. ln the District XI meet at Nazareth, the Bethlehem Team retained the crown with a team score of 35. Easton had a total of 32 and Allentown. 23. VVinners in the final rounds were Bill Deihler, Boh Thompson, and Parker blacohy. Other Hurricane grapplers who reached the finals or semi-finals were Symons, Ayres. Ehret. Nlclntyre. lasiello. Czeralcy, and Roberts. :Xt the Regionals held at Viiilkes College. Vllilkes Barre, only Boh Thompson remained in com- petition. He went on to the State P.l.A.A. Finals at Penn State. but was defeated in the semi-finals.
