The When: lt started on Sept. 22, 1982 and ended Dec. 17, 1982. The Where: From Washington, D.C. to Toronto, Canada, the tour nearly followed the Roll- ing Stones schedule of 1981. The Why: Roger Daltrey watch- ed Pete Townshend plunge to the lowest point of his life, nearly killing himself, amidst drugs and alcohol. Daltrey decided that putting a stop to the touring seemed the only solution. The Future: Touring will con- tinue in '83 through Britain, Europe, Australia and Japan. One manager mentions cluster dates to be played in '84. One reporter suggests still yet another Who album.

A hunt began to find the persons or person who put cyanide into capsules of Extra-Strength Tylenol and kill- ed seven people from the Chicago area within two weeks. Leads were picked up but dissolved into nothing. Johnson 8a Johnson, makers of Tylenol, started a full-fledged campaign to regain the trust their customers previously had in them. They developed a tamper proof package and enforced higher safety standards.
