Foreword WHEN we, the Class of 1952, began high school, we entered the best years of our lives. These years were important ones, For they taught us teamwork, a respect for higher learning, and social intelligence. Our teamwork during the past four years came from working together to raise class funds, plan- ning school events and cheering our teams on to victory. Coming into an organization as an in- dividual and becoming part of a working body, developed personal qualities which will help us in future life. In these high school years, we learned the fundamentals of higher knowledge. From the aca- demic workwe gained experience in thinking for ourselves through individual research. This break- ing away from grade-school practices proved to be more of an adventure than we had foreseen, for it gave us a chance to use our own judgment. The school became the center of our social life, with dances, hobby activities, athletics, and various clubs. Here we became acquainted with social graces, we changed from self-centered children to broadi-minded individuals with respect for others. This is the quality which makes friends and influences people. We realize now that all we have learned in high school will reflect on everything we do in later life.
