ffm' Eames the Hand The Lamar Redskin Band entertains enthusiastic football fans during half-time. One of our most active clubs is the Lamar Band. It enriches such school activities as pep rallies and football games in the fall, the Christ- mas and Easter programs, the P.T.A., and Open House. In recent years the Lamar Band has become an outstanding performing band in the Houston area, participating in band marching and con- cert contests. lt performed at the Inauguration of Governor John Connally and at Rice Stadium for the late President John Kennedy. Originally, the Lamar Band was the ROTC Marching Band under the direction of Lee S. Keding. Through his earlier leadership and the present direction of Robert E. Foster, the Lamar Band has achieved a high degree of excellence. Drum Major and Band Commander: Campbell Green Executive Officers: Karen Kleiderer, Randy Spike, Charles Sparks Director: Mr. Robert Foster Was that another touchdown? asks Richard Miller. Robert Duval, Maudann Russell, Cary Criffis and John James seem more engrossed in the game than in their instruments. Band 37
